Meta To Bring Notorious B.I.G’s Hyperrealistic Double To Life At VR Concert

The late Notorious B.I.G is taking center stage once more this December, but this time as a hyperrealistic avatar.
 

Marking the 25th anniversary of his passing, Meta will be hosting a virtual-reality concert depicting the late rapper, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, in a digital recreation of Brooklyn in the 1990s.

 
According to the company, the show will spotlight songs from his discography. Guest artists such as Sean “Diddy” Combs, The Lox, Latto, Nardo Wick, Lil’ Cease, and DJ Clark Kent will be making a special appearance as well.

To commemorate Biggie Smalls’ life and legacy, the program will include a tribute narrated by music journalist Touré.

 
Notorious B.I.G. was assassinated in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles in 1997. After 25 years, though, the case still remains unsolved.
 
Still, some fans are unhappy about his resurrection for the concert and have voiced their opinions in the comments section of a tweet from HotNewHipHop.

However, Meta has confirmed that it has received the blessing of Notorious B.I.G’s estate. On top of that, it says Touré also sat down with his mother, Voletta Wallace, and noted that she trusted him to handle her son’s story with tact and discretion. 
 
The concert will take place on December 16. For those who do not have an Oculus headset, there will be a 2D version of the show on Biggie’s official Facebook page.
