Having a luxury automaker be the architect and interior designer of your home should be the biggest flex for any car enthusiast. One household in Tokyo can make that claim. Aston Martin has been tasked to create its first luxury home in Asia, and it already has a buyer.
The four-story structure, primed to stand out in a city of shoebox apartments, will be named No. 001 Minami Aoyama and situated in the swanky Omotesando area of Minami Aoyama, one of Tokyo’s most prominent architectural and style hubs. Aston Martin is working with Japanese concierge company VIBROA and a local architect to see its construction through.
The British marque has now shared renderings of the upcoming private property, which is slated to see completion in November 2023, with DesignTAXI. According to the visuals, the house will feature an automotive gallery, a private spa, and a spacious roof terrace promising lovely views of Tokyo.

The brand says it plans to draw from “a holistic combination of elements and materials” to create a haven for residents.

The façade boasts “clean lines and seamless boundaries,” says Aston Martin, which has been charged to dream up both the exterior and the furnishing.

“The influence of Tokyo culture, with its amazing history and style, holds an important creative space within our design studio,” says Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin, in a press release. “I see fashion, architectural and even culinary references being considered by our team when developing their work, so its presence can really be felt within our practice.”
