UNIQLO’s charity line of graphic T-shirts, Peace for All, is now growing to incorporate the work of KAWS, Keith Haring, Peanuts, Wim Wenders, and Lisa Larson.
The Japanese fashion retailer first started the project on the belief that “a single T-shirt has the power to spread peace.” Since then, UNIQLO has been inviting artists and distinguished individuals through the years the design tees professing their passions for humanity and the earth.
The Keith Haring Foundation has produced a design of two people standing beneath the earth in his iconic drawing style on a background of bright orange. Peanuts has combined all its beloved characters to spell “LOVE”.
Street artist KAWS has gone with an image of the globe as it rests in his iconic gloved hands.
Meanwhile, Larson paints a picture of a woman resting on top of a lion to represent peace and hope for the future, while Wenders’ T-shirt hosts a still image of the Australian desert with the words “There is no alternative to peace” around it.
UNIQLO states that 100% of the profit will go to organizations that help aid with poverty, discrimination, conflict, and natural disasters. Each tee will be sold for US$25 and will be rolled out online or at your local UNIQLO on December 15.
