Are you afraid you won’t last two months into fulfilling your New Year’s resolutions? Luckily, with the Apple Watch, you’ll at least have some goals accomplished in the first month. Apple is starting things relatively easy with its 2023 ‘Ring in the New Year’ activity challenge, with the hope that you’ll kick off the year on the right foot, and perhaps even nurture some positive habits.
As part of the fourth run of the annual challenge, users will be tasked to close their Apple Watch rings representing the activities of standing up, moving, and exercising. Seems simple enough! The toughest part is repeating this seven days in a row for the rest of the month—though, as it is with cultivating any habit, it gets easier over time.
Users who close all three rings throughout January—hence ringing in the new year—will receive an award within the Fitness app (shown above), as well as exclusive, custom animated stickers they can use on Messages and FaceTime. You can preview the stickers by hopping over to 9to5Mac, which first revealed them.
Apple Watch users can find out more about the daily fitness challenge by launching the Fitness app from their iPhones. Time to stand up for a healthy lifestyle.
