Apple Users Complain Of Horizontal Lines Appearing Across iPhone 14 Pro Screens
Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max users are earning their stripes, though not in a good way. Reports of strange horizontal lines appearing on startup screens have emerged across forums in the last week or so. While it has been widely speculated that the glitch could be a hardware problem, the Cupertino tech giant has since confirmed that it is simply a software bug.
The number of lines surfacing on iPhones when the displays wake up differs. Some people have encountered single dashes, while others are seeing multiple. Many are complaining of the appearance of green lines on their smartphones, while others see theirs as white, and “maybe even purple.”

How the error is triggered also seems to vary from phone to phone. A few point out that the lines are more likely to show up after they play videos and the screen switches off. The display glitch then emerges when they wake their phone up.

Apple and its retail staff have chalked the bug up to a software issue. While there’s no official fix for this yet, the lines vanish by themselves when people restart their iPhones and complete the startup process, though the stripes may still appear while their phones are being booted up.
