For years, the only embellishments to go on work shirts were oil slicks and grime. Dickies is finally acknowledging its worth—for its 100th anniversary, the utilitarian attire brand is Gucci-ing it up to make you the brightest spark when you’re out changing tires.
This surprising tie-in between Gucci and Dickies blends luxury with function, building upon durable Dickies mainstays like the Eisenhower jacket and 874 work pants with rhinestones and tailored fits.
For a true workshop quality, Gucci’s artisans have studded each garment by hand “to create unique forms of shining self-expression.” All this, of course, comes at the premium—to the sound of US$7,410 jackets and US$6,590 bottomwear.
The outfits may be wrinkle-resistant, but you won’t catch anyone doing manual labor in them for sure.
