Breakfast is served with a tangy kick, and it’s all thanks to cream cheese… socks.
It all started when Nike launched ‘Montreal Bagel’ Dunk Lows, topping the silhouette with sesame seed graphics and brushing it with that enticing bagel sheen. The footwear ended up selling like hot cakes, luring carb lovers to race to stores and brave an actual snowstorm to get a taste of the bread.

Fans adored the more-than-half-baked idea. More than anything, the sneakers were versatile—“’cause everything goes better on top of a bagel,” in the wise words of Nike.
Philadelphia Cream Cheese in Canada took this as a challenge, and it partnered with creative agency Rethink to debut ‘Schmear’ socks to pair with Nike’s Bagel Dunk Lows. Because what goes better on bagels than cream cheese?
Each pair features a print of schmeared cream cheese, giving texture and flavor to your look. The Philly Schmear Socks even arrive in three “flavors”: original, strawberry, and chive & onion. Attention to detail might be important, but it’s a relief they don’t smell like cheese.
