Domino’s Japan Launches Bacon Shake To Dip Your Pizza Into

If there’s one ingredient one wouldn’t think to include in a milkshake, it might be bacon. After all, it’s difficult to imagine the greasy, salty taste of meat mixed with the sweet treat of a vanilla or chocolate shake. 

It appears Domino’s in Japan is going against the good ol’ crust-worthy status quo with a “shocking dessert” made out of a blend of rich ice cream, Hokkaido milk, and crunchy bacon bites to create a sweet-umami sip. 

Even more bizarre, as SoraNews24 points out, is the way in which the chain restaurant is suggesting customers enjoy this out-of-the-norm beverage. Instead of just drinking it as is, the bacon shake is said to be the perfect accompaniment to Domino’s pizzas. 

Yup, the pizza brand says to dip pizza slices into the shake to enjoy a “new taste sensation.” Simply dunk the newly-released Burger Pizza Quattro Bacon Cheddar Burger and the Burger Pizza Quattro D’s Exquisite Cheese Burger, and enjoy, and decide which has a “crazier” taste. 

The Bacon Shake, along with the burger-inspired pizza flavors, will only be available from January 16 to March 5.
