Transforming E-Bike Is Secretly An Outdoor Camper At The Same Time

RVs have come a long way in convincing people that living on the road can still be functional and glamorous at the same time. However, not everyone is suited to squeeze their entire life into a small area and hit the open roads.
 
But for those who want to try living as such for a few days without having to invest in getting a van or an RV parked in their driveway, how about a transforming electric bike instead? This one might look like a decked-out two-wheeler at first glance, but it’s so much more than that under the hood… or handles, so to speak.

The SpaceCamper Bike can take its rider from biking out in nature to sleeping under the stars with the deployable flatpack that can turn it into a lounge seat or even a bed, fully fitted with an over-top tent and tarp to keep you safe at night from the elements.
 

This above-ground tent takes shape thanks to the rear Load rack and lounger frame, eliminating the need for guy lines and ground stalking.
 
And when you’re done catching up on some Zs, and you’re looking to cook some food or even do some work, the bike transforms once again into a cooking/workstation. Campers can use the makeshift tabletop for cooking beans, roasting marshmallows, or finishing a deck for work on Monday. 

 
All this is then stored in a convertible module on the back of the bike to house your supplies and belongings.

For those wondering what the specs are like on the e-bike, it’s powered up by a Bosch mid-drive with a 1,000 W dual battery system and a 14-speed belt drive. The wheeler also allows its tires to be swapped out for thicker tires so riders can take it off-road if they wish.
 
The bike almost calls back to a previously featured design by Mitsubishi that proposed a mobile office campervan that could have you taking meetings by the beach or in a forest.
 
SpaceCamper has not yet set a date for an official release, but it does plan to offer more details later this year in the summer.
