WWII Grenade-Inspired Clock Reminds You About Ticking Unpredictability Of Life

There comes a moment in one’s life when you will soon realize how fast life passes. Time starts speeding up, and just as you start falling into a routine, life throws a hypothetical grenade to blast you out of your comfort zone.
 
Representing that feeling of unpredictability in life is a literal grenade. Well, it’s more like a grenade-shaped clock, so to speak. The piece, designed by Swiss clockmaking house L’Epée, takes on the shape of an MKII from World War II. 

The clock is not meant to evoke violent imagery; instead, it’s a tender reminder that life can change at any moment, and each day needs to be seized and cherished.
 
The timepiece stands five inches tall, which is about identical to the height of an MKII. On its top sits two aluminum disks which represent the hours and minutes. If you want to change the time, you will have to use the “pin” to do so and wind it up. In total, it has an eight-day power reserve.

The grenade comes in eight different colors, each of which will only have 99 iterations made.
