Art Deco-Themed Taco Bell Opens To Transport Guests To Old Hollywood

When you step into this Taco Bell in Los Angeles, California, get ready to be transported back into the glamorous days of old Hollywood.
 
The newest ‘Hollywood Cantina’ joins a roster of almost 150 Taco Bell ‘Cantinas’ within the county. These specialty locations often come with a custom menu, open-floor kitchen concept, and alcoholic beverages—but unlike the rest, this one pays homage to Tinseltown.
 
The Churrigueresque-style structure, situated in the glitzy Hollywood Boulevard area, is best known for having once been the Pickwick Bookshop, a reputable institution in its era. Hollywood’s elite frequently visited the store, which was owned by Louis Epstein and got its name from Charles Dickens’ book The Pickwick Papers.
 
Now, it’s playing host to a new clientele roster: Taco Bell fans.

The Cantina is decorated in a classic Art Deco style, chucking out the iconic purple colorway for a black and gold look instead. Where other restaurants might have been brightened up by fluorescent lighting, this one has chandeliers and a light-up marquee over the counter.
 
This new aesthetic is not the only thing the Cantina is serving up. It will also have a movie screen, DJ booth, and alcoholic beverages ready for guests to enjoy burritos in old Hollywood fashion.
