Hidden Taillight Drawer Ensures You’ll Always Have A Cold Refreshment On The Go
Is your truck running out of space for your stash of drinks and gear? Perhaps the rear taillight might serve as the best place for keeping them.
Swiss-based Black Sheep Innovations designed the incognito compartment as a way for drivers to transport goods inconspicuously. The Rear Light Drawers pull out from the taillights and can be outfitted into a minibar or storage for camping essentials like tools and even your longest fishing rod. And don’t worry; the lights still work just fine.
In fact, you’ll even be able to keep your original lights. Drivers can access the compartment once the tailgate flap has been let down, and you have to use a key to unlock it, which will prevent it from accidentally sliding out during a drive. The drawers are made from stainless steel and aluminum and are made to be safe and vibration-free.
However, due to their complex nature, the drawers are only ready for two models: the Volkswagen Amarok and the Toyota Hilux. From there, you can decide whether you’d like a space for your gear or if you’d like to amp up your tailgate party game and turn the back section of your truck into the ultimate stealth minibar.
If you need inspiration, as seen in the promo shots, the flap to the bed in the back has been transformed into a mini kitchenette.

The Rear Light Drawers are going for US$3,635, and you will need to know some carpentry skills as assembly is required.
