If there’s one thing you’ll always get out of TikTok, it’s viral food trends. The social media platform previously capitalized on this by introducing TikTok Kitchen—a delivery service that would allow viewers to order the popular dishes seen on the application.

Now, it seems the power of gaining popularity on the site has grown to influence brands, with Chipotle officially adding a new item to its menu that was initially introduced as a “hack” by TikTok creator Alexis Frost and food critic Keith Lee to their followers.

According to the firm, Frost’s review of a Steak Quesadilla with Fajita Veggies went viral when Lee stitched the video to showcase a DIY dressing that mixed Chipotle-Honey Vinaigrette dressing in sour cream—both rating the dish a “10 out of 10.”

Just a week after both videos were posted, the two creators garnered over 30.6 million views, with many viewers heading to their local Chipotles to try the meal out for themselves. However, this posed a challenge for restaurant workers, considering it wasn’t an official item on the menu.

As such, from March 2, diners will be able to add fresh fajita veggies to any type of Quesadilla via the restaurant’s digital platforms, allowing for five new combinations that can be ordered through the digital menu.

Each Quesadilla originally comes with three sides, and the company has added the Chipotle-Honey Vinaigrette dressing as one of the three options, so patrons can mix and match to their hearts’ content.

Those looking to recreate the exact orders of the TikTok creators can simply opt for the custom ‘Keithadilla’ and ‘Fajita Quesadilla Hack’, both of which are exactly what the duo ordered. These special Quesadillas will be available for a limited time.

“TikTok has not only changed the way we communicate with Gen-Z, but it’s proven it can identify areas of opportunity within our business,” explained Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer at Chipotle.

“With the launch of the Fajita Quesadilla, we are celebrating Keith, Alexis, and all our superfans who were craving this delicious customization while prioritizing support for our employees,” he added.
