Apple Debuts Sunny-Hued iPhone 14 In Time For Spring
It’s almost spring, so Apple is keeping up with its tradition of releasing a new iPhone color. This time, it’s a bright and sunny Yellow hue to ring at the start of a new season.
Apple has previously offered a yellow option for its devices. It introduced a similar shade for its iPhone 5C and a pastel version for its iPhone 11.
The new shade joins its siblings in the lineup: Midnight, Starlight, (PRODUCT)RED, Blue, and Purple. As noted by MacRumors, Apple usually introduces a new hue mid-product cycle to boost sales before the release of the next generation of devices. Last year, customers were treated to a Green shade for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, and the iPhone 12 saw the introduction of a Purple version.
The rollout also comes with four new silicone cases: Canary Yellow, Olive, Sky, and Iris.
The new color will be decked out the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus for US$799 and US$899, but not the Pro models. Pre-ordering for the new release will begin on March 10 at 8 am Eastern.
