This Android Phone’s Latest Feature Looks Just Like iPhone’s Dynamic Island
When Realme’s latest C55 smartphone emerged recently, one of the first things fans quickly noticed was its ‘Mini Capsule’, a small display in line with the front camera that alerts users to battery levels, charging status, and more.
If you’re thinking that it looks similar to another manufacturer’s smartphone lineup, you’d be right, as reports from GSMArena and SamMobile quickly pointed out that the feature resembled the iPhone’s Dynamic Island.
The latter publication even noted that it seems Realme had integrated a mix of Apple’s Dynamic Island with Samsung’s Edge Lighting for its newest device.
However, features such as data usage and step count won’t be available right out of the box, with users needing to wait for a software update later on—so it can’t be said just yet how functional Realme’s iteration will be.
At the moment, the C55 smartphone will be heading to Indonesia, though it’s uncertain if the company will stand up against Apple and Samsung in other countries worldwide.
