Knee-High Boots Get The ‘Teletubbies’ Treatment
Just when you thought you had seen it all, in walks a pair of boots with the decapitated head, antennae, and arms of Dipsy (the green one) from the Teletubbies.
Y2K and high-end fashion are mixing in all new ways, thanks to designer Christian Cowan’s latest line of outfits in collaboration with the show. Of course, standing at the center of the collection are these Dipsy-turned-boots. The rest of the shoe is in the same colorway as the Teletubby—a stark lime green—and has a zipper running right down its side.
Any extreme fan of the show can pick one up for a whopping US$2,500 and profess their love for the British kids’ series by strutting down the streets in one of these bad boys. While the boots may be a little too kitsch for the everyday person, Highsnobiety reports that the website crashed upon its release. So get ready to see Dipsy’s aplenty trotting down the street.
The collection doesn’t stop there, though. The rest of the line is admittedly a little more tame, with T-shirts, jeans, hoodies, denim jackets, and sweaters adorned with images of Dipsy joined by the other three characters and models.
