Adidas Launches First Boot Pack Made From Plastic Waste Found In Oceans
Last year, Adidas collaborated with Parley Ocean Plastic—a firm that helps reimagine plastic waste intercepted on islands, beaches, and coastal regions—on eco-friendly Winter Olympics uniforms for Team GB.
This time, they’re unveiling the Adidas Football x Parley Boot Pack, the brand’s first-ever soccer boot to be made with the sustainable material. And interestingly, the shoes’ design spans all of the sportswear giant’s boot franchises, from Predator Accuracy to X Speedportal, and Copa Pure.
Clad in a lucid blue and white with elegant wave-patterned designs, the boots, which were unmistakably inspired by the beauty of the ocean, hope to deliver the performance desired by athletes while making a difference off it.
Plus, as per the firm, reinforce Adidas’ commitment to replace virgin polyester with recycled solutions wherever possible by 2024—nine years after it first began its partnership with Parley for the Oceans.
