Rolls Royce’s New Black Badge Wraith Is A Final Ode To The Iconic V12 Coupé

It’s the end of an era for Rolls-Royce as it bids farewell to its V12 coupé cars with a special version of the Black Badge Wraith.
 

The Rolls-Royce Wraith is a high-performance grand tourer with a 6.75-liter V12 engine capable of reaching 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. Its opulent interior features handcrafted leather seats, wood veneers, and advanced technology. The Wraith combines speed, style, and luxury to create an exceptional driving experience.

However, as electric vehicles symbolize the future for carmakers, the automaker believes there might be little room left for a V12 chassis in its lineup. So the Black Badge Wraith Black Arrow is here to close out an iconic era for the brand.
 
That being said, for one final time, one can find the same engine found in the original Black Badge Wraith in this special edition. It has an eight-speed automatic gearbox and 624 horsepower with 642 lbs of torque. It also has a yellow badge on its chassis to mark it as the final V12 from the marque.

Rolls-Royce’s final tribute to the Wraith draws inspiration from the ‘Thunderbolt’ land speed record car of the 1930s, which utilized dual V12 engines. The color scheme transitions from ‘Celebration Silver’ to ‘Black Diamond’, offering a distinctive look that blends in with ‘Bright Yellow’ bumper inserts to herald back to the Thunderbolt. 
 

With that, the Black Badge’s cabin features yellow accents on the front seats, steering wheel, and suicide door panels, alongside the new plush Club Leather material. On its dashboard is an illustration of the V12 engine and a clock engraved with the Thunderbolt’s top speed of 357.497 mph. 

The car boasts a customized starlight headliner with an incredible 2,117 fiber-optic lights and door cards featuring a textured wood veneer crafted from 320 pieces of marquetry.

Only 12 of these special edition vehicles will be made and sold, and according to Robb Report, it seems all 12 have been snatched up already.
