Porsche Colors Its 911 Carrera In A Rainbow Of Hues To Mark 30 Years In Thailand

Porsche is honoring 30 years of being in the Thai market in a rather colorful way. The automaker is marking the occasion with the release of its 911 Carrera GTS car in seven different hues inspired by the vibrance of Thai culture.
 
In Thailand, a unique cultural tradition exists where each day of the week is associated with a particular color, which traces back to Hindu Mythology. According to this belief, each day is protected by a different god, corresponding to a celestial body represented by a specific shade. 

In reference to this, Porsche is wheeling in seven colors to represent the days of the week. In order, from Monday to Sunday, the shades are Signalyellow, Rubystar, Signalgreen, Pastelorange, Riverablue, Ultraviolet, and Firered.
 
A fun splash of colors isn’t the only addition to this set of 911 Carerra’s is getting. On the exterior, the Porsche crest is imagined in the corresponding hue of the vehicle’s body, while the rest of the wheel is coated in black.

There’s even a special ‘30 Years of Porsche Thailand Edition’ on its B-pillars. On the back, to further pay homage to the country, the five slats over the engine have been painted red, white, and blue like the Thai flag. 
 
Its interior features black corduroy inlays on its seats and gray piping on the dash, door panels, and rear side trim. The headrests each feature a unique logo to mark the anniversary.

This culminates in a one-of-a-kind hand-painted Inspiration Car with all seven shades converging together. Porsche will display this rainbow-colored car at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show.

There is no further information on how much each individually colored car will cost, but it is most likely expected to be Thailand exclusives.
