“Nothing fills a hole like Pot Noodle,” claims the instant noodle brand—and it means so literally, as the ‘King of Snacks’ has teamed up with creative agency adam&eveDDB to prove how the tasty treat can fill all types of voids in daily life, ranging from a washing machine to a birdhouse.
More importantly, especially for customers in the United Kingdom who face numerous potholes on their commutes, the company is specifically targeting sites in Surrey, Essex, and Northamptonshire notorious for unfixed gaps in the road.
According to The Stable, a van will drive along some of the worst-maintained roads in the region while flashing advertisements of Pot Noodle, such as Harlow in Essex and Brackley in Northamptonshire, which is home to Rod Stewart and campaigner ‘Mr Pothole’, respectively.
Throughout the campaign, the firm will feature images of the time-saving noodles filling holes on social media, while fans are encouraged to submit their own contributions digitally via a sticker pack on Instagram.
The humorous 60-second shot, which features unfathomable ways the dish can be used to patch up holes in the most unexpected places, was captured by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Frederick Paxton of Academy Films. Take a look at it below.
