Hydration Jacket Ensures You’ll Never Have To Hand-Carry Your Water Bottle Again
At the risk of looking like a cartoon character trying to sneak in just about every type of candy into the movies, this new hydration jacket takes a jab at making sure its wearer will remain stocked up on fluids, no matter if they’re catching the latest blockbuster or about to trek up a mountain.
French sports equipment manufacturing company Salomon and commerce, media, and social publisher Greater Goods served up the drink-carrier-slash-jacket just in time for April Fool’s day. But don’t be misled; it’s not just a practical joke on the company’s part. Instead, it is an actual piece you can purchase for a limited time.
If you want to get your hands on the ‘S/Lab Hydration Crew Jacket’, you can bid for it with proceeds heading to the Opening Up the Outdoors charity. This nonprofit organization centers around the inclusion and education of outdoor spaces. Those looking to enter can do so from April 2 to April 10 and must put in a minimum donation of US$11.

Lucky participants will end up with a jacket and the prospect of never having to carry a bottle around again. This is thanks to the three x 21 reservoirs, seven 500ml soft flasks, a trio of soft cups, and 10 storage packets, just in case you decide to run several marathons back to back.
If you’re caught outdoors when things go awry, water isn’t the only thing it can supply. The outerwear also stocks a first aid kit, and a survival blanket all stored up inside of it, because why bring a bag with you when you’ve got the clothes on your back to suffice?
The jacket, for the most part, looks pretty standard sans the blue tubing running down the arms and front of it, through which the fluids are delivered.
Salomon has also introduced sustainability into its creation by using old upcycled products such as ski pants, vests, jackets, and two fleece pieces for manufacturing the final product.
