After having a Rolex Submariner named after him, Kermit the frog is hopping into another sector of the luxury watch world, and this time he’s the face of Oris’ new timepiece… literally.

The Swiss horologists are giving everyone’s favorite frog center stage on its ProPilot X Calibre 400 “Kermit Edition” to brighten its wearer’s day.

Of course, no watch dedicated to the iconic Muppet would be complete without a bright green dial that is so unmistakably Kermit. At the bottom, peeking out of the date window, is his face smiling at its user. Oris states that adding Kermit was a playful way to get people to take life less seriously. The brand hopes that whenever its users look down at the time and see him, they’re reminded to “take a look above you, discover the view,” as he once sang.

Unfortunately, as Kermit is probably the busiest frog in Hollywood, he won’t be stationed in the window all the time, and he’ll only come back on the first of every month to check in on you.

And for all the other watch enthusiasts wondering what this ProPilot can offer, it comes with a Calibre 400 in a 39mm case and a five-day power reserve. Kermit is nestled safely within a titanium case, and a titanium bracelet straps him onto the user’s wrist.

Oris also delivers the watch just as The Muppets would have with Kermit playing the banjo and singing a specially created song about the timepiece.

Should your days need some brightening, Oris is now selling the watch for US$4,557.
