Pizza Hut is pulling the most Pizza Hut hat trick there is. The chain is transforming your head into a moving restaurant—or at least that’s how it will appear when you don its new Hut Hat.
The accessory was crafted with Chain—an iconic Los Angeles restaurant popup concept conceived by The Office’s BJ Novak, chef Tim Hollingsworth, and producer Nicholas Kraft—and is baked in 90s nostalgia. The Hut Hat is tastefully reversible, channeling both the exterior and interior of a Pizza Hut.
One side draws from the brand’s famous red shingled roofs, while the other is deeply reminiscent of the stained-glass Tiffany lamps that hang from the ceilings of joints.
“Those Pizza Hut Tiffany lamps are some of the most iconic pieces of New Americana design,” describes Kraft. “They elicit such joy and fond memories—and let’s be real: they kinda look like bucket hats all on their own.”
The throwback hats are being dished out on the Chain website for US$35 a slice, while supplies last.
