LEGO Zooms In With ‘Sonic’ Sets That Let You Build The Game In Your Home

Sonic the Hedgehog might be too fast to catch, but these new LEGO sets inspired by the Blue Blur are waiting for grownup fans to get their paws on them.
 
LEGO and SEGA have just announced four more sets that fall under the Sonic brand and are inspired not only by the game’s mechanics but are also centered around the hedgehog’s need for speed.

Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge comes with a launcher that will zip the titular character through the iconic obstacle course. It basically takes the famous side-scroller game and places it straight into our world. 
 
This particular kit comes with 300 pieces and allows fans the freedom to create their course, a dream many might have had while playing the game. Then, when you’re done, pull as hard as you can on the velocity launcher, and watch as Sonic tries to “collect” as many gold rings as possible.

Thankfully, unlike the game, if you hit anything, you won’t lose all your points automatically.

The others in the lineup include Tail’s Workshop, Tornado Plane, and Amy’s Animal Rescue Island. All these ships with 400 pieces are at your beck and call to design each “level” however you’d like. And for the super fans out there, you could even get all and make the ultimate real-life Sonic game.
 
LEGO plans to ship the sets by August 1, with prices ranging between US$35 and US$50.

In fact, speaking of Sonic, it looks like everyone’s favorite Blue Blur got “murdered” at Amy’s murder mystery birthday party.
