Mercedes-Maybach Revs Into The EV Scene With Its First Electric SUV

If you’re a fan of high-end cars, you’ve probably heard of the Mercedes-Maybach brand. It’s the epitome of luxury on four wheels, and it has been producing high-end vehicles since the early 1900s. Now, Maybach is taking things to a new level by introducing its first-ever electric SUV, the Maybach EQS 680.

This electric SUV is a sight to behold. It’s adorned with chrome accents throughout the car, and while it doesn’t have a traditional radiator, it has one of Maybach’s signature oversized grilles on the front end.

Step inside and find diamond-quilted upholstery trimmed in MANUFAKTUR Exclusive leather, which comes in three stunning finishes: Natural Grain Brown Birch, Natural Grain Brown Walnut, and Black Piano Lacquer.

And if you’re feeling thirsty, there’s even a refrigerator compartment and silver-plated champagne flutes to keep your bubbly chilled and an optional pair of folding-out tables. 

What’s under the hood, you ask? The Maybach EQS 680 has dual PSM motors, a powertrain of 484-kW (649-hp), and a torque of 700ft-lbs. As a result, this luxury SUV can hit zero to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 130 mph. Plus, you’ll be ready for any adventure with four driving modes, including an off-road mode.

One of the most exciting things about this electric SUV is its air suspension, which can raise or lower the ride height by up to 1.4 inches, giving drivers better ground clearance on uneven roads. 

If you want to take a spin in this electric lap of luxury, you’ll have to wait until fall 2023, when it will hit showrooms. And when it does, with its combination of opulence and electric power, the Maybach EQS 680 will turn heads and impress even the most discerning drivers.
