The New York Times, one of the most recognizable publications, has recently launched a brand campaign—More of Life Brought to Life—showcasing how its journalism connects readers with the wider world.
According to the paper, this is its first marketing push centered on its subscription model, celebrating the wide range of its offerings, such as Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, and The Athletic, “bring to life” all of the audience’s favorite topics, subjects, and passions.
In collaboration with creative agency Droga5, the campaign will spotlight three main themes: ‘Sneakers’, ‘Gravity’, and ‘Time’. Through each “seemingly ordinary” topic, readers will be brought on a journey of how these mundane subjects relate to one another and impact everything around us.
Each spot unravels how one starting point in journalism, such as sneakers, can become a “catalyst for discovery” that brings surprising and informative revelations to readers, in turn shaping their view of the world.
“This creative explores the traversing-style of providing connections, revelations, and context to our readers so they can understand more of the world around them. This journey reflects how our most engaged reader interacts with The Times,” said Senior Vice President Amy Weisenbach.
“Whether they start their day by playing Spelling Bee, then jump to a new Styles feature story, which leads to discovering our Climate Forward newsletter, followed by some dinner recipe research on New York Times Cooking,” she continued.
“Which prompts them to check out the best kitchen gadgets on Wirecutter, and then check out The Athletic NBA Show podcast and the rest of its podcast lineup, and so on.” Catch the More of Life spots on television, digital, print, out-of-home, and on social media from April through July.
