Uber Lets You Hop On A Horse-Drawn Carriage To Mark King Charles’ Coronation
Weeks ago, Buckingham Palace unveiled the two decked-out, gold-plated coaches that will be used to carry the King and Queen Consort to and from the coronation, set to take place on May 6, 2023.
As the momentous occasion approaches, Uber wants royal enthusiasts to join in on the festivities. The ride-sharing service is rolling out a one-of-a-kind ‘Coronation Carriage’ that customers can book to ride around London just like the Royal Family.
The coach, which is said to closely resemble one of the carriages King Charles III will ride in, is available for bookings from May 3 through May 5 in the lead-up to the coronation. It will feature four white horses dressed in special regalia.

“Each of the four white horses pulling the carriage will be dressed up in their finest coronation wear, complementing the striking and regal look of the carriage,” remarked Uber.
“The carriage will be adorned with statuettes, exactly like the carriage that King Charles III will be riding in for the formal celebration, to the delight of millions of viewers from around the world,” the company added.
Unfortunately, customers won’t be able to traverse the entire city in the horse-drawn ride, as the novelty vehicle will be limited to trips around the 76-acre Dulwich Park in southwest London.
Following the event, Uber has pledged to make a donation to UK-based charity Spana to support the welfare of working animals across the world. Head here to find out more about the initiative.
