When it comes to looking for love or friendship, plenty of matchmaking services can set you up with what might be your perfect partner on paper. But in the world of gaming, finding the right companion to traverse with you through different universes might be a little more complicated.

Heineken is breaking down antisocial norms with a new campaign called Not All Nights Out Are Out, created by creative agency Le Pub Brazil. The vision for this breaks away from the norm of alcohol advertisements that tout a swig of beer in a crowded pub makes for a perfect evening. However, that’s not the case for many. In recent times, more and more people have begun to enjoy the thrills of a night in, especially when it ends with a new high score.

A campaign spot, titled Just Another Night Out, was released with a video centered around a group of friends making plans with each other after work and trying to get back home through São Paolo’s rush hour, before picking up a beer and settling in front of their computers to join each other in a game.

In order to propel this new growing trend of more and more beer drinkers staying in, the company has also come up with a ‘Beer Matchmaking’ service. QR codes on the Heineken bottles sold in Brazil will direct you to the platform where you will be paired up with someone.

From there, you can choose between different game types: FPS, Sports, MOBA (Multiple Online Battle Arena), and RPG. Within each category are other titles you can pick from, such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, FIFA 23, Forza Horizon, Diablo III, and Starcraft, to name a few.
