British cutlery company Studio William Welch has its designs found at some of the most breathtaking venues in the world, from 10 Downing Street in London to the Sydney Opera House and the Burj Al Arab in Dubai.
Recently, the brand, known for its attention to detail and meticulous product design, has come up with new eco-friendly packaging that incorporates a sensory experience that even visually-impaired customers can enjoy.
The minimal brown cardboard box integrates embossed braille on its cover, describing the contents within the box. For those who can’t read the explanation, the raised dots serve as minimal graphic art and a spotlight on considered design.
According to the company, all elements—manufactured using natural materials, water-based inks, and water-based glues—are 100% compostable while maintaining an air of luxury befitting of the brand’s designer cutlery.
In addition, the new packaging is flexible, allowing customers to select different sizes of boxes depending on bespoke set sizes. Medium and large boxes can store between 16 to 84 items, while small boxes can hold individual products.
