Flydubai Introduces New Business Class Seat With Its Own Privacy Sliding Door

Dubai-based airliner flydubai has recently unveiled its latest premium business class seat, a suite for single-aisle aircraft that will grant all passengers in the section direct access to the aisle, along with a sliding door for fully-closed privacy whenever.

The company will be the first in the world to launch this new seat, created in collaboration with aircraft seat manufacturer Safran Seats and multinational design firm JPA Design. This Business Suite will first appear on board aircraft in November before expanding to more in 2024.

Apart from the unique closed-suite experience, the premium section comes with discreet stowage solutions, allowing passengers to keep personal items at arm’s reach while minimizing clutter around them.

In addition, ambient lighting has been built directly into each seat, integrated under the ottoman and within the personal stowage areas to give the entire suite a warm, relaxing ambiance. One can even choose to use personal headphones via Bluetooth connection for extra comfort.

“The new business suite will take comfort on board to the next level,” quipped Daniel Kerrison, Vice President of Inflight Product at flydubai.

“The increased height of the back-shell, a sliding suite door, and direct aisle access for every passenger creates a level of privacy never before seen on Boeing 737s.”
