Mercedes-Benz, Maybach Team Up On Line Of ‘Desirable’ Luxury Travel Bags

Think of a luxury handbag, and Mercedes-Benz may not come to mind. That’s about to change, as the luxury automaker has teamed up with fellow car brand Maybach on the Desire Collection—a series of designer bags that brings “handcrafted perfection” with the brands’ distinct designs.

Said to be for “discerning clientèle,” the line of leather totes features the exclusive Maybach motif, combining high-quality materials and craftsmanship with the carmakers’ technical know-how and sophisticated luxury.

A clear pattern is seen throughout the range, which uses only two interlocking cut shapes. Plus, each element added onto the pouches and the materials used are coordinated in terms of color. Extra attention was even paid to details to ensure the right kinds of seams and zips were used.

Customers keen on snagging a bag for themselves will be able to do so in several color combinations, each to suit a different mood, ranging from timeless-classic pieces to bolder, more vibrant, and more expressive designs.

The Barrel Bag I and Barrel Bag II are functional, backpack-like pouches perfect for a weekend getaway or adventure through the city. Each bag comes with two inside zipped pockets and an adjustable, detachable shoulder strap.

Elsewhere, Cocoon Bag I, Cocoon Bag II, and Cocoon Bag III are different iterations of a modern crossbody bag, all equipped with adjustable and detachable shoulder straps for maximum flexibility on the go.

Last but not least, the Cocoon Case is a classic business briefcase, offering enough space for an inner zipped pocket, two pen loops, and a divider. Customers can choose from three color combinations: white/white, black/black, and orange/pink/palladium.
