In the third installment of the ultra-luxurious partnership between German supercar manufacturer Porsche and American menswear brand Aimé Leon Dore, the duo has created yet another stunning masterpiece, this time in the form of a sleek 356 coupe harkening back to the 60s.
Previously, the pair worked together to recreate two Porsche 911s, a Type 964 Carrera 4, and a gold safari build. Now, the latest collaboration—centered around the 356 built between 1948 and 1965—goes beyond the automaker’s iconic models to spotlight one of its lesser-known beauties.
Instead of completely tearing the donated 1960 365B vehicle apart, the team at Aimé Leon Dore decided to refine the car as it was, first by removing the coupe’s front and rear bumpers to make its silhouette even sleeker.
Then, the body of the car was coated in glossy Midnight Blue paint, while accents featuring the fashion house’s hand-painted crest in gold leaf were added to the front fender. New fog lights were installed, together with brushed aluminum wheels adorned with white wall tires.
The coupe’s interior features matching leather seats, clad in the same Midnight Blue as its façade, with tonal embroidery and a complementary tartan plaid. In addition, the hand-painted gold leaf accents continue within the car, topped off with a Carrera 2 steering wheel to complete the look.
Want to see the one-off vehicle in real life? The Aimé Leon Dore Porsche 356 will make an appearance during the reopening of the luxury label’s flagship store at 224 Mulberry Street in Nolita, New York, from May 5, 2023.
