Workdays are about to get even more streamlined thanks to Slack’s latest artificial intelligence addition, Slack GPT.
The new in-app tool assists users by summarizing conversations, taking notes during calls (or “huddles”), and more.
Slack GPT can condense a whole channel of conversations with just one click. That way, even if you have been out of the office for a while, you can jump straight back into the groove of things without reading a load of texts as you try to keep up to speed.
You will also be able to tweak emails, speeches, drafts, and just about anything with AI assistance to better fit the tone of the message or to even help you find the right words.
In other areas, you could ask it to take a sales lead, and churn out a personalized prospecting email from the given CRM data.
Salesforce, the company that owns Slack, is also bringing forward a no-code feature that will be introduced this summer, which customer service workers can use to provide customers with AI-generated responses. IT departments will also be given a tool to aid in automated incident management, and determining the cause of the issue. Marketers, on the other hand, will have access to image generators for campaigns.
According to CNBC, Ali Rayl, Slack’s senior vice president of product, noted that no customer chats or personal information will be stored or used to train the machines.
Earlier, Microsoft announced a similar addition to its Office 360 program, called ‘Copilot’, allowing workers to draft presentation slides, analyze Excel spreadsheets, respond to emails, and more with just a click of a button.
