Kendrick Lamar Partners Gucci In Limited $2,500 Rebrand Of ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’
Superfans of rapper Kendrick Lamar should prepare their wallets, as Interscope Records has recently unveiled a collector’s edition vinyl LP of the artist’s famed To Pimp A Butterfly album that costs a whopping US$2,500.
The limited-edition run, of which only 100 copies will be available, comes with a gallery-quality giclée printed cover designed and autographed by contemporary artist Lauren Halsey, a custom-dyed linen vinyl jacket, and a double LP comprising the 2015 album’s tracklist.
That’s not all. The entire record will be wrapped up in custom-patterned packaging designed by Gucci, topped with the luxury fashion label’s gilded logo.
Those considering shelling out on the special vinyl set will receive a collectible large format Artists Inspired by Music: Interscope Reimagined catalog alongside the album.
