Velveeta Serves Cheesy-Chocolaty Decadence In Posh, Pasta-Shaped ‘TruffVels’

Velveeta is settling the chocolate-or-cheese debate once and for all—for true pleasure, why not go for both?

Known for its TV dinners, the Kraft Heinz-owned brand is taking a fancy detour by partnering with luxury chocolate maker Compartés to introduce Velveeta cheese-chocolate truffles… or ‘TruffVels’.

The treats consist of Velveeta cheese sauce that’s been infused into Compartés’s white chocolate, creating a sweet and savory delight with a snackable noodle shape à la Velveeta’s bright yellow Shells and Cheese.

Not to mention, the oozing cream center brings to mind the melty texture of Velveeta products.

Kraft Heinz explains that the TruffVels build upon Velveeta’s philosophy to help pleasure-seekers live “La Dolce Velveeta.”

“Two of life’s greatest pleasures are cheese and chocolate,” describes Kelsey Rice, Senior Brand Communications Manager for Velveeta, in a press statement. “As a brand that’s all about making outrageous pleasure a way of life, we decided to bring these two flavors together to create the most outrageously elevated version of a cheesy, chocolatey recipe for our fans to enjoy.”

Since these are a gourmet variety, the cheese shell-themed TruffVels are exclusively available on the Compartés, not Kraft Heinz, website. They are going for US$24.95 per five-pack.

In line with the mashup, the truffles are packaged in a decadent yellow box with melty imagery. Share them with a companion for the ultimate cheesy gesture.
