Bottega Veneta Slithers In Dinosaur & Snake Sculptures Born From Its Famed Weave

Bottega Veneta is known for its iconic woven leather pieces that have become some of the brand’s most recognizable work, from sandals to bags, wallets, and now to reptilians and dinosaurs.
 
The fashion house is taking its classic intreccio and intrecciato weaves and turning them into Jurassic chic with a seven-inch Intreccio Napa Dinosaur whose species has not been identified by the brand. Still, from its tiny front limbs, one can probably guess it’s a T-Rex.

It’s crafted out of calf leather and doused in a hue known as ‘Barolo’—a dark maroon that is decidedly a more artistic choice for a prehistoric animal than an accurate depiction. A gilded nameplate of the brand is also found on its underside.
 
The dino comes in at a cool US$1,050, and if that hasn’t deterred you, then maybe you can also look into getting it a friend if you’re thinking of starting your own Bottega Veneta nature park at home. Accompanying the dinosaur is an Intreccio Napa Snake for US$984. Again, the exact species is not known, but its tail signals it to be a rattlesnake. This time, it comes in a dark green and bright red tongue. A little more accurate than the maroon-colored dinosaur.
