DC Comics Introduces Wonder Woman’s Daughter To Follow In Her Heroic Footsteps
Fans of DC Comics’ female icon Wonder Woman will soon welcome a new member to the family: Trinity, the superhero’s daughter. The defender will take on the brand-new role of a mother in the upcoming anniversary issue of Wonder Woman #800.
Trinity was revealed by artist Daniel Sampere, who is working with writer Tom King on the monthly Wonder Woman comics when the title relaunches this September. The daughter, who follows in her mother’s heroic footsteps, will make her first appearance in the anniversary special.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Wonder Woman #800 will feature King and Sampere’s story involving Trinity, alongside other tales from multiple creators. The new addition is then expected to take on a larger role when the official series begins this fall.

As per Gizmodo, Trinity will become a “core part” of the comic’s next-generation storyline. Through the new series, the authors will show her origins and follow her as she steps up to become the new Wonder Woman.
Naturally, many fans are wondering who exactly the father of Trinity may be. But King told IGN that while the character’s backstory will gradually be revealed, the story’s primary focus will be on the bond between Diana Prince and Trinity.
The authors revealed that each issue will show “how awesome Diana Prince is,” and accompany Trinity along in her journey as she grows up, battles feelings of inadequacy, and deals with being the child of a world-famous superhero.
This isn’t the first time a DC superhero has become a parent. Back in 2006, Batman’s son Damian Wayne made his debut, while Superman’s son Jon Kent appeared in the series in 2015. King credits Jon, Damian, and his own children as inspirations behind Trinity.
