Next-Level Caravans Created By AI Could Be Multipurpose Living Spaces On Wheels

Berlin-based agency Ulises Design Studio recently decided to stretch the imagination of artificial intelligence (AI), tasking it to create living spaces on wheels in the form of multi-decker caravans that could seamlessly blend into a retro-futuristic landscape.

For now, due to the laws of physics, caravans typically seen on roads usually stop at two stories. But what if engineers could develop platforms and tires that were sturdy enough to support multiple levels—like a mini apartment building—on the back of a vehicle?

The design studio made use of AI image generator Midjourney to create the renders of caravans for the Kinetic Kingdoms project, with the astonishing vehicles appearing almost like quirky, luxurious homes in the middle of a barren desert.

Each “apartment” comes with wide windows for picturesque views, spacious bedrooms, living rooms, fully-equipped kitchens, and even rooftop terraces that could rival homes in the largest cities across the globe.

However, as Yanko Design pointed out, one rather important element that seems to be missing from the renders is the staircases or hidden elevators that would presumably take one up to each level. Or are these caravans set so far in the future that humans can beam themselves up?

Ricardo Orts, the founder of the agency, said the inspiration behind the project was to see how humans could embrace “a more nomadic lifestyle” by exploring new ways of living that were both adventurous and sustainable.
