Churro-Flavored KitKat Makes A Special Appearance For International Churro Day

For observers of International Churro Day, which takes place annually on June 6, the delightful, crunchy fried dough treat is a dessert worth celebrating. And if there aren’t any churro stalls close by, why not commemorate the occasion with a churro-flavored KitKat?

KitKat Churro features a sweet mix of buttery cream and sugar topped on a pair of iconic wafers, which the brand describes as a taste that will bring back nostalgic memories of bygone childhood summers spent in the heat.

Like its other flavors, the limited-edition launch will be available for purchase in standard, king, and snack sizes—so fans can chow down to their hearts’ content. The latest addition joins the chocolate bar’s previous releases of KitKat Birthday Cake, KitKat Lemon Crisp, and more.

“We love seeing fans’ responses to our limited-edition KitKat flavors—especially one as universally loved as churros,” Alez Herzog, Associate KitKat Brand Manager, said in a press release.

“We hope that every bite of the buttery, churro flavor and familiar crispy crunch of our wafers unlocks memories of the delightful experience of enjoying freshly-baked churros from the boardwalk stand, amusement park, or the local fair.”

KitKat Churro will hit stores nationwide in June.
