Are you dreaming of all the sauce combinations you could make if only you had the resources? Well, here comes Heinz ‘REMIX’—a machine that puts sauce connoisseurs in the driver’s seat of innovation.
The machine is reminiscent of Coca-Cola Freestyle, a soda machine that lets people mix and match drinks to create delicious or wacky combinations. The same can be done for condiments, as the remix can deliver up to 200 unique blends for dressing lovers.
REMIX holds base flavors like ketchup, Heinz 57 Sauce, ranch, and BBQ Sauce. It also comes with enhancers such as jalapeño, smoky chipotle, buffalo, and mango, each with a low, medium, and high level of intensity to add a little zest and fuego to your dip.
Kraft Heinz’s Alan Kleinerman, vice president of disruption, noted that the brand would be keeping an eye on trendy mixes that could eventually spark the next Mayochup or Buffaranch.
The REMIX will debut at the National Restaurant Association annual show in Chicago over the coming weekend, with plans to launch in 2023 or 2024. However, The Spoon points out that while the Coca-Cola Freestyle was a hit, it benefited the restaurants as people paid to use it. Conversely, sauces are usually free, and it would be interesting to see how businesses adopt this.
