Porsche Wheels Out Electrifying E-Motorbike Inspired By Sports Cars
The electric vehicle market has been booming recently, with many automakers turning to alternative energy sources to head into a new era of sustainability. Porsche is the latest addition to the list in the electric motorbike category, with its latest offering coming in tandem with Chinese electric motorbike manufacturer Yadea.
The two companies are wheeling in the VF F200, a punchy e-bike reminiscent of the “iconic shape and sculptural surfaces inspired from sports cars.” This probably means that Yadea took care of its chassis while Porsche’s design center worked on the design elements of the bike.
The result is a curvy and sleek livery with a top speed of 62 mph and a power rating of 13.4hp. Its dual batteries can offer up to 87 miles of driving range. It also has a seven-inch TFT dashboard which you can control and monitor the bike from. On top of that, it has a 31L storage unit and can comfortably sit you and one other pal.
While it’s no Porsche 911 on two wheels, the bike is certainly more than enough to zip through urban areas or even get you out of the countryside and into the city.
The electric make comes in an electric blue, black, white, and deep purple. It will first hit the European market sometime this year, but pricing for the vehicle is not yet known.
