Camping Setup Combines Full-Sized Tent, Tarp, And Air Mattress All In One System

One of the main drawbacks to camping is the amount of gear one has to bring into the wilderness, especially for larger families. But what if a tent, tarp, and wall-to-wall air mattress could be combined into a single element?

That’s what New Jersey-based startup Acacia has designed with the Space Acacia—a five-sided pop-up tent that comes complete with a roll-out canopy that rolls out into a full-sized tent with a six-inch-thick inflatable floor.

There’s no worrying about being caught in the sun or rain, as the main setup boasts 300-denier waterproof-coated Oxford cloth with integrated fiberglass poles, while the canopy beneath the eaves is made of 150-denier waterproof, SPF50 UV-blocking material.

Ventilation isn’t a problem either, as the all-in-one system offers eight zippered screen windows and a port for an optional air conditioning unit. Plus, when it’s cold outside, the aforementioned canopy acts as an extra layer of insulation to keep the interior 10ºF warmer than its surroundings.

In addition, the floor of the tent features waterproof four-ply PVC, which is said to be constructed to the same specifications as “expedition-grade inflatable kayaks.” It can be inflated in less than 15 minutes and withstand up to 4,000 lbs, complete with a soft carpet for extra comfort.
