Microsoft Gives Bing Search Engine An AI Voice Chat That Replies To You Out Loud
In May, Microsoft finally opened its artificially-intelligent Bing search engine to the public. Now, the technology giant is adding voice support to the feature on desktops, making the popular chatbot more conversational than ever.
Users using the Edge web browser can chat with the AI model, following in the footsteps of the chatbot’s mobile applications. Simply select the microphone icon within the chat box to begin talking to the program.

Other than replying to your queries out loud in English, at the moment, Bing can speak Japanese, French, German, and Mandarin. According to the company, more languages will be added in the near future. It also allows users to generate text-to-speech answers when necessary.
Users can hold a conversation with the chatbot, with it replying in its “own voice.” Just ask, “how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?” or “what’s the toughest tongue twister you know?” and listen to the feature.
