From now, users of Google Search will get to experience a whole new suite of features, including tests to check for serious skin diseases, plan a trip, or artificial-intelligence models that will present garments on different body types.
To check if the spots on an arm are of concern, individuals simply need to upload a picture of their skin into Lens. Search results will then offer similar images of what the rash might be, but of course, it’s always better to conduct a doctor in real life.
The real highlight comes with online shopping updates, which will make it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for through the vast listings the internet has to offer.
Shoppers can filter the clothing they’re looking up by style, color, and pattern across different shops. Plus, to avoid the confusion surrounding size charts, a new virtual try-on feature will allow customers to try the very same piece on a range of models.
Using generative AI, the software fits clothing onto bodies of different sizes, allowing the customer a realistic look at how it may appear on. At the moment, this tool only extends to popular retailers like H&M, Loft, and Everlane.
Those looking to plan their next getaway will also benefit from Search’s travel features. A 3D model tool, dubbed Immersive View, is expanding its gallery of cities to include Florence, Venice, Dublin, and Amsterdam.
