LVMH, in collaboration with Epic Games, the creator of Unreal Engine and the popular game Fortnite, is expanding its presence in the gaming industry. By venturing into the virtual, LVMH aims to introduce more captivating and innovative experiences for its esteemed fashion brands.
Within the LVMH conglomerate, labels such as Louis Vuitton, Celine, and Dior will benefit from Epic’s comprehensive set of tools. These will enable the creation of virtual fitting rooms, 360-degree product views, fashion shows, augmented reality experiences, digital twins, and other features designed to elevate the customer experience.
One of LVMH’s subsidiaries, Bulgari, has already embraced Epic’s tools. Recently, it launched a metaverse experience inspired by ancient Rome, meticulously crafted using Unreal Engine 5.
Additionally, Unreal Engine is accompanied by other programs like Reality Capture, Twinmotion, and MetaHuman. These tools can potentially assist LVMH and its brands craft genuinely unique offerings for their customers and growth for the firm as a whole.
Antonio Belloni, the managing director of LVMH Group, expressed his thoughts about the partnership, stating, “The collaboration with Epic Games will enhance our proficiency in 3D tools and ecosystems, spanning from the creation of new collections to advertising campaigns and our maisons’ websites. Furthermore, it will enable us to engage more effectively with younger generations who are well-versed in these digital realms.”
