Domino’s No Longer Requires An Address To Deliver Your Pizza To You
Picture this: You’re chilling in the park, craving a slice of piping hot pizza. But wait, you don’t have a fixed address. What do you do? Fear not, pizza enthusiasts! Domino’s has come to the rescue with a new GPS pin technology. It’s breaking the chains of traditional delivery and serving up your favorite meals to practically any spot you desire. Parks, beaches, secret hideouts—you name it.
‘Pinpoint Delivery’ is here to see your summer picnics through so you can get a slice of piping-hot pepperoni pizza whenever and wherever you desire. However, according to Engadget, the company clarifies that the drop-off points have to be within reason, and your local delivery driver isn’t going to scale a mountain to give you your food midway through a hike.
More likely, deliveries will be made to any location where a driver can pull up to the side of the road and safely find you. So if you’re craving pizza on your hike, they can meet you at the parking lot instead.
After making an order, instead of inputting a standard address or postal code, you can drop a pin onto a map and have your delivery driver meet you directly at your location. While your food is on the way to you, you will receive text alerts to tell you where the driver is. And once they have arrived in the general vicinity, a “visual signal” on their phone will help them locate you whether you’re topping up your tan on the beach or attending a baseball game.
Earlier this year, Domino’s even added an option to have your car order your food for you, and now, with this latest feature, it’s steadily trying to position itself as the top option for pizza lovers on the go.
