Xbox Shifts Into High Gear With Porsche Racing Livery Consoles
It’s Porsche’s 75th anniversary this year, and it’s been celebrating the year in numerous ways, including revamping its iconic crest. This collaboration introduces special racing liveries for the Xbox Series X consoles, bringing the thrill of the race to the gaming realm.
The special designs showcase distinctive and timeless aesthetics of Porsche’s most iconic racing models, from ones that have one the 24-hour Le Mans to some of its latest designs.
First, we have the livery from its Porsche 911 GT1 that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1998 and an all-white colorway from its Porsche Salzburg that raced home to the German marque’s overall win at Le Mans.
Next is the Porsche Hippie, a vehicle sporting a swirling mix of green and blue that is meant to evoke the free spirit of the Hippie movement. There’s also the cult favorite Porsche Pink Pig, a pink racing car with red lines dotted around the vehicle in the style of a pig up for sale at the butchers.
And lastly, there’s the Porsche 75th livery that’s seen on its current 963 race car.
Outside of the sporty new designs, the consoles and controllers are essentially the same as the Xbox Series X. Which means you will still be receiving the same 8-core AMD Zen 2 CPU, an AMD RDNA 2 GPU with 12 teraflops of power, and 1TB of storage.
Before you zip out to your local retailer to snatch one of these bad boys up, Porsche notes that the consoles will only be available through a sweepstake hosted in the US, UK, and Germany from June 8 to October 1.
