Drake Becomes An Author With Release Of His First Book
Drake seems to really be in his feelings this time around with the release of his very first book—a poetry book, no less.
Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream of Consciousness by Aubrey Graham and songwriter and frequent collaborator Kenza Samir is a collection of poems, one-liners, and what is assumed from the title to be Drake’s “stream of consciousness,” wrapped up in a bright cobalt blue coffee table book with a minimalist, tidy white font over it.
In anticipation of the arrival of his first book, a website was set up to give a little context behind what the collection of poems is about. “I made an album to go with the book,” wrote Drake. “They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me. FOR ALL THE DOGS.”
The album in question looks to be an upcoming one, but hold your horses, Drake fans; there doesn’t seem to be a release date yet.
Last year, during his 2022 SiriusXM radio show, Table for One, the rapper first teased the concept. Now, it’s finally here, and fans can get ready to dive into the inner workings of the songwriter’s mind and better understand the inspiration for his lyrics.
The book is retailing for US$19.95 and can be found on the drakerelated.com site. Other items you might find on there include pink 80s block phone floaties commemorating his hit song Hotline Bling.
