If you’ve ever wondered what the wonderful and wacky citizens of Bikini Bottom smell like, Lush’s new SpongeBob SquarePants collection might just answer your questions.
First up, we have a soap bar and bath bomb shaped after the titular character, which is meant to smell “F.U.N and fruity.” If you’re wondering what the song could smell like, its fragrance is made up of litsea cubeba and orange. Of course, where SpongeBob goes Patrick Starfish is not far behind. Patrick’s bath bomb is stylized in his famous meme of him sitting, looking shocked, and emitting a vanilla and coconut scent.
There is also a body balm in the shape of SpongeBob’s pineapple home, which smells of cocoa, shea, and Tonka (surprisingly no pineapple scent), and a Squidward-shaped bubble bar in lime and seaweed.
Lastly, there’s a bath bomb set shaped like a Krabby Patty that can be detached from each burger layer, including its patty, tomato slice, and lettuce. Unfortunately, there’s no way to tell what the secret ingredient to the Krabby Patty is from this.
The collection isn’t just a nostalgic throwback to a show many have fond memories tied to. It is also here to spread awareness of ocean plastic pollution as it ties up with Paramounts’ SpongeBob SquarePants: Operation Sea Change. Each piece will be sold without any packaging as part of the campaign.
