Disney’s Donald Trump Animatronic Was Reportedly Once Hillary Clinton
Conspiracy theorists, forget lizard people—did you know Donald Trump was once Hillary Clinton?
Okay, let’s wind things back a little. When Disney World unveiled its robot depiction of 45th US President Donald Trump at the Hall of Presidents in 2017, people quickly pointed out that it looked more like Clinton. Speculation arose then that Disney had bet on a Hillary win, and went right into preparing an animatronic in her image.

The rumor dropped off for a while, until recently, when podcaster Alex Goldman once again outlined just how much Robo-Trump bore a resemblance with Clinton’s face, from the “much brighter” eyes to jawline and evident upper lip.
Goldman shared on Substack that he had spoken to a former Disney employee who worked in the Imagineering team, who divulged that the conspiracy theory could actually be true.
The ex-Imagineer said that, to make way for the incoming presidential robot, Disney closed the Hall of Presidents so that it could construct the new addition. Accordingly, executives were adamant Clinton would emerge victorious, so they commissioned a model of the first female figure to stand in the room.
The employee related that they’d seen various facial designs in Clinton’s likeness “at least six months” ahead of the election. They also recounted that when an intern asked what might happen if Trump won instead, a 3D artist jokingly replied, “Then, we’re screwed.”
Though it’s unclear if the existing robot is the same one the employee had seen, they imagine Disney “tried to salvage the animatronic by keeping Hillary’s skull and putting Trump’s skin over [the] top of it.”
